2 Tawarikh 17:3-4

17:3 The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because he followed in his ancestor ¹  David’s footsteps at the beginning of his reign. ²  He did not seek the Baals, 17:4 but instead sought the God of his ancestors ³  and obeyed ⁴  his commands, unlike the Israelites. ⁵

29:2 He did what the Lord approved, just as his ancestor David had done. ⁶ 

2 Tawarikh 34:2

34:2 He did what the Lord approved ⁷  and followed in his ancestor David’s footsteps; ⁸  he did not deviate to the right or the left.

[29:2]  ⁶ tn Heb “he did what was proper in the eyes of the Lord, according to all which David his father had done.”
